Email conversation:

Person I am discussing this with is using an AMD Phenom II 925.

He any many others swear this tweak works. Other folks have seen no results at all (positive or negative).

- On my desktop (Main – http://www.tweakhound.com/2012/11/22/my-computers-etc/). Core Parking does not come into play at all.

- On my laptop. Under Windows 7 cores are in fact being parked. (Windows 8.1 no cores are parked at High Perf powercfg.)

BUT

I used the program/settings from the bitsum link you sent. I have run PCMark with absolutely NO difference.

So we are back to my original statement that the tweak is useless.

Bitsum link mentioned above: http://bitsum.com/about_cpu_core_parking.php

Some good info there but I’m afraid I don’t see WinRAR as much of a benchmark (not that my single run of PCMark is much better).

Please post your thoughts on this.
